Where CryptoPredi Gets Its Data

CryptoPredi combines cryptocurrency market data with research from primary and authoritative sources. We distinguish observed market information from project-specific research and model-generated forecast scenarios.

Three Types of Information

Not every number displayed on CryptoPredi has the same origin. Current market information, project-specific facts and future price scenarios are different types of information and should be interpreted differently.

We aim to make that distinction clear throughout the website.

01 / MARKET

Market Data

Current prices, market capitalization, trading volume, circulating supply and historical market information are obtained from external cryptocurrency data providers.

02 / RESEARCH

Project Information

Network mechanics, token economics, protocol upgrades and other asset-specific information are researched using primary sources whenever reasonably available.

03 / FORECAST

Modeled Scenarios

Future Bear, Base and Bull values are CryptoPredi model outputs. They are not market data supplied by CoinMarketCap or cryptocurrency projects.

CoinMarketCap

CryptoPredi uses the CoinMarketCap API as a source of cryptocurrency market information. Depending on the asset and page, this can include current price, market capitalization, trading volume, circulating supply, market ranking and historical market data.

This information provides a current or historical market reference for our pages. CoinMarketCap does not produce or endorse CryptoPredi’s Bear, Base or Bull forecasts.

Important distinction
Market data is an input. CryptoPredi forecasts are model-generated outputs.

A market price or circulating supply obtained from an external data provider should not be confused with a future price scenario calculated by CryptoPredi.

Official Project Sources

Cryptocurrency networks can have very different economics. When researching an individual asset, CryptoPredi therefore gives priority to information published by the project or organization responsible for the relevant protocol when such information is available and appropriate.

  • Official project websites and documentation.
  • Technical documentation and protocol specifications.
  • Official tokenomics and supply documentation.
  • Published information about token issuance, unlocks and burns.
  • Official governance and network-upgrade information.
  • Developer documentation and official project announcements when relevant.

Primary sources are particularly important when a protocol change could affect token supply, network economics or another assumption used when evaluating long-term scenarios.

Additional Research

Primary documentation does not always provide all of the context required to understand a cryptocurrency or a market event. CryptoPredi may therefore use additional reputable sources to supplement primary research.

Secondary information can be useful for understanding market developments, regulatory changes or broader industry context, but material technical or tokenomic claims are checked against primary sources where reasonably possible.

How Often Market Data Updates

Market information displayed by CryptoPredi may be temporarily cached for website performance, stability and efficient use of external data services. As a result, a value displayed on CryptoPredi may differ slightly from the latest price visible on an exchange or another market-data platform.

Cryptocurrency markets trade continuously and can move rapidly. CryptoPredi should therefore not be used as a real-time execution or trading-price service.

Market prices
Displayed prices are reference data, not executable quotes.

The actual price available when buying or selling a cryptocurrency can differ because of market movement, liquidity, spreads, exchange fees and the trading venue used.

Historical Market Data

Historical price information may be used to provide context around an asset’s previous market behavior. Historical data can help readers understand volatility and past market cycles, but it does not determine future performance.

A cryptocurrency that previously reached a particular price is not guaranteed to return to that level, just as a previous all-time high does not establish a future valuation target.

Supply Data Requires Context

Circulating supply is one of the most important inputs in a market-cap-based valuation model, but cryptocurrency supply can change over time. Current supply figures therefore need to be interpreted alongside the economics of the individual asset.

CURRENT

Observed Supply

Current circulating and maximum supply information may be obtained from market-data providers and checked against project information when appropriate.

FUTURE

Supply Assumptions

Future supply used in a forecast can depend on issuance, unlocks, burns, staking rewards or other asset-specific mechanisms and is therefore a model assumption rather than observed current data.

Where Bear, Base and Bull Prices Come From

The future price scenarios displayed on CryptoPredi are generated using CryptoPredi’s own valuation framework. They are not price targets supplied by CoinMarketCap, exchanges, cryptocurrency projects or other external data providers.

The model considers multiple variables relevant to long-term valuation, including the broader cryptocurrency market, the relative position of an asset and its token supply. The methodology is published at a high level so readers can understand how forecasts should be interpreted, while internal scenario parameters and calculation rules are not publicly disclosed.

Conflicting Information

Cryptocurrency data can occasionally differ between sources. This is particularly common for circulating supply, token unlocks, migration events and recently modified token economics.

When material information conflicts, CryptoPredi aims to review the available evidence and give greater weight to relevant primary documentation. Where uncertainty remains material, forecasts should be interpreted with additional caution.

  • Market-data providers can use different methodologies.
  • Project documentation can change after protocol upgrades.
  • Token migrations can temporarily create inconsistent supply information.
  • Scheduled unlocks and burns may change after governance decisions.
  • Recently launched assets may have less established historical information.

Reporting a Data Error

Crypto markets and protocols change quickly, and information can become outdated. If you identify a material factual or data error on CryptoPredi, you can contact us with the page concerned, the information you believe is incorrect and, where possible, a primary source supporting the correction.

Material errors can be reviewed and corrected when appropriate. A correction to market or project information may also require the assumptions behind a forecast to be reviewed.

External Sources Do Not Endorse Our Forecasts

References to a data provider, cryptocurrency project, blockchain network, exchange or other third party do not imply sponsorship, partnership or endorsement of CryptoPredi or its forecasts unless explicitly stated.

Third-party trademarks, names and data remain the property of their respective owners.

Transparency
Sources provide information. CryptoPredi is responsible for its own analysis and forecast scenarios.

Our objective is to make the origin and nature of information sufficiently clear for readers to distinguish external data from CryptoPredi’s own modeled outputs.
